Paul's Worship Services St. Paul's Lutheran offers two different types of services - Traditional and Contemporary. Traditional services feature the great hymns of the church and liturgical traditions handed down through the centuries. Our hymn book for these services is Lutheran Worship. Music forms a large part of our Traditional Services. Lutheran hymns are sometimes known as chorales, and Luther himself composed hymns and hymn tunes, the most famous of which is "A Mighty Fortress is Our God" ("Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott"). Lutheran hymnody is reputed for its doctrinal, didactic and musical riches. We also augment our Traditional Services musically with our adult choir, hand-bell choir and children's choir. Our Contemporary services is similar to traditional church services, except we have a little more music and not quite as structured a service. While the service is contemporary, it still firmly reflects the traditional values of the Church. Our Contemporary service is designed to appeal to people who have gone to traditional churches for awhile, but are looking for something different. It also appeals to the younger generation and young families in particular. If you would like to come and visit St. Paul's Lutheran Church, please visit our Locations Page for phone numbers, addresses, maps and driving directions. We also have available an archive of sermons that is online for you to download and listen to.
