| St. Paul's Worship Services
St. Paul's Lutheran offers two different styles of services - Traditional and Contemporary.
St. Paul's Lutheran offers Traditional Lutheran Worship at our Saturday evening service at our downtown Kankakee location, and on Sunday mornings at our 8:30am service at the school in Bourbonnais. Most people dress more formally for this service, but please feel free to dress in what is most comfortable for you. We use the Lutheran Hymnal for our songs and have organ accompaniment. Occasionally we also include the Adult Choir and/or Adult Handbell Choir. A printed bulletin will comfortably guide you through the service. Contemporary Worship services at St. Paul's Lutheran offer a more informal and interactive experience than our Traditional Services. Dress is casual. Wear what is comfortable for you. Some people dress more formally, and that's fine too. The music is provided by vocals, drums, keyboard and guitars. It's a safe place to bring your doubts, questions, and curiosity - regardless of your beliefs or background. You'll find friendly people who'll help you find your way around, energizing music and powerful messages relevant to your life. A printed bulletin will comfortably guide you through the service along with projection screens at the new school location. Childcare is provided for those with younger children. This Service is held at 11:05am at our school location at 1780 Career Center Road in Bourbonnais, IL. If you would like to come and visit St. Paul's Lutheran Church, please check our Locations Page for phone numbers, addresses, maps and driving directions. We also have available an archive of sermons that is online for you to download and listen to. |
