St. Paul's Small Group Ministry

What Small Groups all about...

  • St. Paul's Lutheran Small Groups Fun - People do not want to come unless it is fun there are many reasons to do things but if people are enjoying themselves they are more apt to return
  • Fellowship - this gives all the people a chance in the group to connect. They can connect with Jesus and with the other members of the group. What a great opportunity it is to connect with others in a group and have some real friends in the congregation!
  • Faith - This is listed last for a few reasons. First, we are there because of faith. It is the all-encompassing thing around the ministry so it is known. The second is that it is not the most important thing in a group. The relationship with other Christian and with Jesus is the most important item in a group and with this, the faith is there.

Why people need to be involved in small groups...

  • All of our Boards and Committees are small groups
  • Groups also give you a place to serve and put your faith into practice
  • Groups give you a chance to connect with people in the church
  • Groups give you a chance to develop relationships with Jesus and others in the church
  • St. Paul’s is focused on getting people connected in the church and this is a way to be connected with and to the church.

How to Get Connected with a Small Group

Small groups are designed to meet the spiritual and social needs of our members as well as the community. Groups meet regularly at a variety of times for fellowship, Bible study and fun. New groups start periodically throughout the year to help meet the needs of the congregation. Contact the Church Office (815/932-0312) and ask for Becky Hagge. Becky will provide you with information on topics, times and so forth. You may also email Becky for information.
