St. Paul's Community Outreach

St. Pauls Community Outreach is designed to bring the Gospel to the unchurched, the enlistment of all of God's people in the work of spreading the Gospel, the deepening of the faith and activity of the members of this congregations, and proper soul-accounting at all times.

St. Paul's Ambassadors

Ambassadors make telephone and personal visits to visitors that attend our weekly services or have requested information about our church or school.

Greeters

Our greeters are visible each Sunday morning in the narthex and atrium to greet members and visitors. They assist visitors by showing locations within the church and providing visitor packets with church information. If you have a smile to share and love to greet people, contact Linda Ahrens (815/932-2596) to volunteer.

Friendly Callers

This Ministry team is composed of a chairperson and a group of people who make "a friendly phone call" to visitors who live in the community. The call is a "hello" and short friendship visit with new people attending our church.

Military / Veterans Outreach

This new ministry provides a link between veterans and current military personnel and our congregations through mailings, care packages and e-mails. The ministry coordinates a special Veteran / Military/ Recognition Sunday and ministers to the local veterans homes.

County Fair Ministry

This ministry has a booth at the Kankakee County Fair to create an awareness of St. Paul's Church and School. We share the Gospel by distributing Bibles, tracts, children's materials, and other Christian items. A drawing is held to generate follow-up opportunities for outreach.

Welcome Wagon Ministry

This ministry follows up with newcomers to the community- St. Paul's pays Welcome Wagon of Kankakee a fee to be included in their information given to newcomers to the area and in return we are given names and addresses of these people. Follow-up ranges from mailings to phone calls to personal visits. We answer questions about our church and school and encourage attendance.
